The Law Firm of Austin, Ley, Roe & Patsko, P.A., was founded in 1991, maintaining two fully staffed offices in Tampa and St. Petersburg, serving clients of Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Citrus, and Sarasota Counties, as well as, the entire State of Florida. We specialize in general civil and trial practice, as well as, appeals in both State and Federal Court. Our primary areas of practice include personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, medical malpractice, and nursing home abuse & neglect. All partners of the firm are Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyers by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education. Bruce D. Austin, Paul D. Ley, Michael A. Roe, and Joseph T. Patsko are all certified by the Supreme Court of Florida as Circuit Court Mediators. Michael A. Roe is also a certified Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. To become board certified in civil trial, an attorney must pass a written examination to test his knowledge in the area of civil trial practice. He/she must also complete specially approved continuing education courses and must also have his/her ability and experience in the specialty favorably evaluated by judges and other lawyers who are familiar with his/her work. John "JC" Basquill |
John "JC" Basquill was born August 19, 1980 in Houston, Texas. He attended Florida State University and graduated in April 2002 with a Bachelor of Science, with honors, in Business Management. He stayed in Tallahassee to attend the Florida State University College of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor, with honors, in December 2004. Mr. Basquill was admitted to the Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida in 2005. He is an active member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, American Bar Association and the Florida Bar where he is part of the Young Lawyers Division. Mr. Basquill's areas of practice include personal injury, wrongful death, and insurance disputes, including bad faith litigation. JC enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife, Ashley, and their four children, Cody, Dillon, Hudson and Lila. |

Alyson George was born on September 29, 1980 in Louisville, Kentucky. She attended the University of Dayton and graduated with honors in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. She then attended Stetson University College of Law and earned a Juris Doctor degree in 2006. During law school, Ms. George was a member and Associate Justice of the Stetson Moot Court Board. As a briefwriter for the Orseck Moot Court Competition, her team won the Best Brief Award. Ms. George was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2007. Following law school, Ms. George co-authored an article with Dan Martinez and Jennifer Tanck entitled “E-Discovery Primer: New Rules, New Trends.” The article was published in the Summer 2007 edition Trial Advocate Quarterly, the publication of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association. Ms. George joined the St. Petersburg office of Austin, Ley, Roe & Patsko in October of 2007. |

Brian Hoag |
Brian Hoag was born January 22, 1980, in Huntington, New York. He attended Florida State University (FSU), and graduated in December of 2001 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Finance. He then attended Stetson University, College of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor and a Masters of Business Administration (JD/MBA) in 2004. Mr. Hoag was admitted to the Florida Bar in May of 2005. He was admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida in June 2005. He is an active member in the following associations: Florida Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Hillsborough County Bar Association (Young Lawyers Division and Trial Section). Mr. Hoag specializes in personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, first and third party insurance claims and disputes, and commercial litigation. Brian enjoys, music, sports, and reading in his spare time. His favorite charity is Big Brothers/Big sisters of Hillsborough County. |
