Paul Leywas born July 17, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan. He attended college at Michigan State University, where he graduated Cum Laude in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. He then attended Stetson University College of Law and earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1977.Paul Ley was admitted to practice in the State Courts of Florida in 1977. In 1978, he was admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, 5th Circuit, and in1993, Mr. Ley became a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer. He is also a Certified Circuit Court Mediator. Mr. Ley focuses on civil litigation, with specialization in the following areas of law: Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, Professional and Medical Malpractice, Insurance Claims and Disputes, and Commercial litigation. Paul Ley is a member of the following professional organizations: Florida Bar Association, St. Petersburg Bar Association, Clearwater Bar Association, American Bar Association, Florida Defense Lawyers Association, and the Defense Research Institute. Mr Ley is has been recognized as an elite attorney by Florida Trend Magazine (2004) and, through peer review, is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
